Matilde de Montsegur

A painter for 24 years, Matilde was involved in the decorative arts before attending the School of Theatre Design, Geneva, prior to working on largescale canvases for television and cinema. In 2000, Matilde gained further experience at the Van Der Kelen school of painting, Brussels, before finding her vocation at the European Institute of Illumination and Manuscript, Angers, gaining the title of ‘Enlumineur de France.’

Her time is now divided between commissioned illumination work, often for publication, and highly detailed, personal paintings which reflect her interests, imagination and skill.
